I designed the circuits for the original Goodfellow Basses which, ironically, became my competition when sold to Lowden. I immediately started work on developing superior electronics. Since the
early 90s I have been working with my electronics wizard, Dick Straker. A great deal of time and money has been spent on many different prototypes and testing, which have produced results that
speak for themselves.
These are becoming an industry standard.
Originally made for amplifiers and rack units, the Neutrik jack socket's superior construction and reliability made them logical choice for my basses. The locking facility on this particular jack
socket eliminates the possibility of accidentally unplugging your bass.

After years of experimenting and testing we discovered there wasn't a pick-up on the market that could deliver the sounds I wanted from my basses. With further research and development a pick-up
evolved that delivered the results I wanted.
This option is becoming an industry standard.
During my career with a society function band, for a bit of fun, I made a Rumour bass with red LEDs that replaced the dot markers on the fingerboard. This proved to be the forerunner of the GB
programmable Sound-to-Light LED System.
This is the only system of its' kind in the world.
This system was researched, developed and entirely made by GB Guitars and as such, is totally exclusive to us.
It is easy operated by turning the controller knob and with eight programmable pre-sets, it is the ultimate "light show" for the ultimate showman.

Being an active bass player myself, I realised the need for this facility. It is activated when the jack is plugged in and is visible through the tinted perspex back plate. A small, red LED
pulses silently once every 6 seconds, indicating optimum battery level. When the pulse speeds up to 3 times a second the batteries will need to be replaced within a couple of weeks. Check your
pulse.
